HELP: two smbfs packages

Hi,

I'm looking for suggestions regarding the package smbfs which I
maintain:

Package smbfs-2.0.2 works for kernels 2.0.x and before. To use smbfs
with the 2.1.x and above kernels, the userland utilities in the Samba
1.9.18 and later must be used (smbmount and smbumount). So, I do not
know how to provide both versions.

I am thinking about leaving the old ksmbfs package for kernels 2.0.x
and before and leaving the new package smbfs (that replaces and
conflicts with ksmbfs) for kernels 2.1.x and above. The source for
ksmbfs will be smbfs-2.0.2 and for smbfs will be samba-1.9.18 (a
multi-binary package).

Something similiar applies to ncpfs: there is a ncpfs-2.0.x for 2.0.x
kernels and a ncpfs-2.1.x for 2.1.x kernels? I suggestions for the
package names?

I want to include support for both 2.0.x and 2.1.x kernels in my
packages.

Any comments or suggestions?
