Yes, it works. I have:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Jan 4 1997 boot -> /dos/linboot/
The problem is that Debian kernel packages use symlinks, and they don't
work on FAT filesystems. So I compile and install kernels by hand.. =/
