Please recall that this was my first proposal! However, a few people
objected because "dselect" is currently not capable of handling so many
new packages.
The only point where your proposal is better than my last one, is that in
your case, it's also possible to install the documentation _only_ and you
just have to download the docs you want to install. However, it is surely
a lot of additional work for the maintainers, archive managers, etc.
