However a C++ interface could just be a wrapper around a C library. IMHO
the main focus at this point should be desinging a clean (C) interface
to the dpkg-internals and go from there. After this interface is decided
upon someone can continue and propose a C++ wrapper around it. Using
C++ for the complete thing seems redundant.

Wichert.
