> Any hints on when Debian 2.0 might be released? All I've heard is rumors.
What's the difference between hints and rumors? And why
do you prefer hints above rumors?
-we're converting the distrib to libc6, and currently about half of
ll packages are libc6.
-The first half took us about 3 months
-We want to significantly improve the way the user selects the packages
for install/upgrade, and so far I (or most other people onthis list)
have seen any results of that so far (deity)
-I've heard there are several people willing to start converting
all libc5 packages. (well, they are, but I don't know if they
are also willing to do massiv non-maintainer uploads).
-I've heard the Deity source compiles now, and I've heard people
being impressed by the look of it (For example, the "q" key works,
and it's got a funky Widget set). Don't know about it's prestations
on other fronts, though.
Choose whatever hints/rumors you want.
