Unfortunatly, the utmp problem is difficult to deal with. My first
suggestion is to install libc5_5.4.33-5, which is patched to do the
correct thing with utmp for software that uses the libc5 interface. The
cleanest solution is to upgrade everything that has to deal with utmp/wtmp
to the libc6 versions. I'd appreciate comments from anyone who has better
information on this topic, I'm not particularly affected on my systems and
don't have any real input.
