This problem is almost certainly related to my moving the terminfo
database from 9.13.22 to 9.13.25. The xterm entry was updated for
Xfree86 3.3.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to reproduce this problem, so I need more
information from everyone bitten by this.

1) Does this affect _all_ curses programs, or only those linked against
3.0/libc5?

2) What version of xbase are you running?

3) Exactly which programs are failing to work? I'm running dselect
1.4.0.19, a home-compiled ncurses 2.4.2, and my favorite infocom
interpreter, and backspace works fine on all of these.
