Re: PCMCIA network card configuration

This is not necessary. All of the commands to establish network
connections through a PCMCIA network card should be located in
/etc/pcmcia/network file. Usually, this file does not need to be
edited, since the network configuration can be specified in the
/etc/pcmcia/network.opts file.

Here's the bottom line:

Non-PCMCIA network card -> use /etc/init.d/network
PCMCIA network card -> use /etc/pcmcia/network and
				/etc/pcmcia/network.opts

In general, on a computer with a PCMCIA network card, the network
configuration data should be located in /etc/pcmcia/network.opts and
NOT in /etc/init.d/network. The /etc/pcmcia/network.opts file is used
when a network PCMCIA card is inserted (or removed) and not simply
when the system is started. This is a much better scheme, since it
removes the network connections when the card is removed and
reestablishes them when the card is reinserted.
