No changelog.upstream anymore
Hi folks!
A while ago the Policy Manual mentioned two different (conflicting) file
names for the "upstream changelog":
/usr/doc/foo/changelog.gz
/usr/doc/foo/changelog.upstream.gz
Most package use the first form which looks much nicer, so I removed the
second form in Policy 2.1.3.0.
Here are a few packages (the one installed on my system) that still use
the old form:
/usr/doc/dnsutils/changelog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/gdb/changelog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/gimp/changelog.upstream
/usr/doc/git/ChangeLog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/grep/changelog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/hypermail/changelog.upstream
/usr/doc/lftp/changelog.upstream
/usr/doc/libgdbm/changelog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/modutils/changelog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/netpbm/changelog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/rcs/changelog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/tcpdump/changelog.upstream.gz
/usr/doc/xpm/changelog.upstream.gz
I'm not going to report against these packages since this really is a
minor problem but if the maintainers read this mail, perhaps they can
change it in the next release.
Thanks,
Chris
