On my system, dpkg and dpkg-dev are both version 1.4.0.3.

Sorry if my messages sounded a little harsh but I was getting stressed
with trying to get svgalib updated before the freeze.  I realize
epochs are uncharted territory. I hope they get fixed though, seems
like a pretty nifty scheme if they work :)
