This really isn't necessary. As I commented before, dpkg-shlibdeps
just ignores unknown lines, so it's perfectly safe to do this:
dpkg-shlibdeps debian/tmp/{bin,sbin,usr/{bin,sbin}}/*
That's what I do in util-linux, which builds lots and lots of
binaries, a few of which are scripts, and one is statically linked.
You'll get lots of warnings, but who cares?
