We should fix octave, gnuplot before release (they are important). We
should prominently state that netscape breaks but a workaround is
provided in /usr/doc/libc5/buggy-software. But I'm feeling much better
about 5.4.7 and am testing it on my home system today ...
NOTE: Red Hat 4.0 reportedly breaks Netscape too (same issue shared
libs). I haven't been to Red Hat's errata page to see what workaround
they came up with.
