 It wasn't entirely unwise to install dpkg-1.0.8.  However, if you're
 installing things anyway I would recommend the unofficial dpkg-1.0.10
 (ftp.debian.org/debian/private/project/Incoming).  However, if you're
 just looking for the manpages you might as well not bother, because
 the manpages just say that they're incomplete and have been provided
 only because there were so many bug reports about missing manpages.
