No, I don't see ANY evidence of cable trouble and so haven't monkeyed
with it. I don't have another one, anyhow. If there where any trouble
with it, why is everything perfect under DOS? I printed out 60 pages in
half an hour, 15 4 page papers, a couple days ago with DOS. Flawless.

What is the "extended"/"enhanced" stuff? If it involves a jumper on my
I/O card, there are a couple I have no info on. Most are documented by
silk screened graphics on the back of the card, but not all jumpers.
The documented ones seem set right, and it works with the work-around
I described. You may be on to something, but I need an explanation of
how to tell/change the difference in setup you are talking about.
