No, suidperl is started from perl if it finds sgid/suid bits on the script.
If I replace perl with suid perl I will get:
YOU HAVEN'T DISABLED SET-ID SCRIPTS IN THE KERNEL YET!
FIX YOUR KERNEL, PUT A C WRAPPER AROUND THIS SCRIPT, OR USE -u AND UNDUMP!
(which is a wrong error message, but telling me that suidperl is not to be
executed directly from scripts.
BTW: since it worked with the old perl, and since I can't find a
configuartion problem, I consider this a major problem with frozen, aka
showstopper.
