Bug#5323: dpkg-ftp fails after /var/lib/dpkg/methods/ftp/debian is removed.
Package: dpkg-ftp
Version: 1.4.5
Dpkg-ftp offers to remove the 'debian' directory, but if you do that it
then fails (instead of recreating the directory) during the next
[I]nstall.
Here's dpkg-ftp's output:
Processing status file...
Processing Package files...
unstable...
non-free...
contrib...
Constructing list of files to get...
df: debian: No such file or directory
Approximate total space required: 0k
Available space in debian: k
Nothing to get.
Processing downloaded files...(for corrupt/old/partial)
Can't stat debian: No such file or directory
Do you want to install the files fetched [y]:
