It's working for me.  Doesn't seem to be causing problems for other machines
on the network.

the environment is: 2 machines running gated (1 linux, 1 freebsd), and an
ISDN router.  Everything else either has a static route to the ISDN router
or runs routed to listen for routing table updates.
