libc 5.4.7 (Was: Is this acceptable)

Someone noticed gs dumping core when he run using libc 5.4.7.

Now, I would like to correct this, but in order to do this,
I need to run 5.4.7 myself, and make gs depend on
>> libc 5.4.7. Like the original poster, I would like
to know if this is acceptable.

I noticed libc5_5.4.7 being the only one in unstable/base, so
it looks like we've decided to move to 5.4.7. In that case,
I guess it's best if all devellopers move to 5.4.7 as soon
as possible, and recompile everything?

(the gs wrapper that dumps core really is a _very_ small and simple
programme -- if that dumps core, then al lot of other stuff will too,
I guess).
