Bug#4957: xserver-agx has a few problems

Package: xserver-agx
Version: 3.1.2-5

I have an xga-2 video board, and I've seen a few oddball problems:

(1) If a program manipulates the color map while the linux screen saver
is in place, the screen can go all white (and stay that way indefinitely).

(2) even when xlock is running, the linux kernel screen saver can kick in.

(3) one of my users had her screen go completely chaotic (some of the time
it was random bits on the screen, some of the time it would completely
lose both horizontal and vertical sync). I happened to be there at the
time and I recovered by carefully (slowly) switching back and forth between
various virtual consoles (note: had X:0 and X:1 up at the time, and
switching between these helped considerably), then obscuring and refreshing
remaining mucked up display areas (also: I had shut down some windows on
general principles -- perhaps there's a video memory management problem
that triggered this incident).

(1+2) might eventually be handled by GGI. (3) looks pure AGX.
