Bug#4878: gpm-1.06 uses /dev/console to test the graphics mode of the console

Hi,

without reading this bug, I close it because this should already be
changed in 1.10.  Please fetch the package and test it.  If I'm wrong,
please re-open this bug and correct the version :-)
