uids above 100...

Sorry to come back to an old discussion...

The current base package (version 1.1.0-14) still comes with uids 101-105
pre-allocated for qmail. I thought the concensus was that uids 0-100 and 65534
get allocated by the base maintainer. In that case, the qmail uids should be
moved below 100 or qmail should use dynamically allocated uids. I couldn't
find this documented anywhere, though.

Also, I thought it should be a site decision which range to use for
dynamically allocated system accounts, especially since in many existing UN*X
clusters, user accounts get allocated from 101 upwards. (For all accounts I
have on our machines, I had to use UIDs below 1000, given to me by our central
sysadmin.)

			Cheers,
				Lukas
