Bug#4686: gs won't install...

Package: gs
Version: 4.01-4
Kernel: 2.0.21
Debian: 1.1.8/9/10 stable + contrib + non-free

Under 1.1.1 -> 1.1.5, gs was installed without any problem. Now,
when I select it in dselect listing, I've got the error message :

------
gs depends on gsfonts (>= 4.01)
ds on libpaper (>= 1.0-1)
libpaper does not appear to be available
------

Of course, when I try to install, I run into trouble :

------
Unpacking gs (from .../non-free/binary/gs_4.01-4.deb) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of gs:
gs depends on gsfonts (>= 4.01); however:
Version of gsfonts on system is 3.53-3.
gs depends on libpaper (>= 1.0-1); however:
  Package libpaper is not installed.
dpkg: error processing gs (--install):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
 gs
DPKG ERROR
------

The previous version of gs wan't depending on libpaper and was
running fine.
By the way, is there any trick to select some of the non-free
packages but to install the stable version of gs (the one under GPL...).
dselect offer me only to install the non-free version (not under GPL...) !

	Thanks a lot...

	Jean
