Bug#4422: gcc bug?

   Will you please reduce the problem down to a small, reproducable test
   case.  There's not much I can do with this little information.

i don't know how to reproduce this error, except by downloading

ftp://ftp.cup.hp.com/dist/networking/benchmarks/netperf/netperf-2.1pl1.tar.gz

unpacking the tar archive and typing 'make'.
