Package: sysvinit Version: 2.62-1 The preinst for sysvinit recommends that files in /etc/init.d be installed unless "you have really changed any of these files". Yet, /etc/init.d/network has automatically populated entries for ifconfig and route. Installing sysvinit takes the machine off the net at the next boot. -- Raul
