This is fixed in gzip-1.2.4-10.  It appears that I un-fixed the fix I made
for the compress link a while back when recovering from a disk failure here,
my apologies.

I believe that gzip should include an uncompress link, since it is always an
installed package, and being able to do uncompress is useful.  I believe that
any 'compress' package should provide only compress, and not try to provide
the link for uncompress, since it would be redundant and the effort of doing
an alternatives handler for this seems unjustified.

So, the 'gzip' package provides an 'uncompress' link, but does *not* provide
a 'compress' link.
