Bug#3106: v 1.1 beta kernel image not for i386
Package: kernel-image
Version: 1.3.100-0.i386
Upon installing the debian package:
kernel-image-1.3.100-0.i386.deb
On a true i386, an error message was broadcast that this kernel will
only execute on an i486 or better machine.
I suggest either compile the kernel without the i486 flag or make a
seperate kernel available for i486 machines. For example, one could
have a package kernel-image-1.3.100-0.i486.deb available.
