Subject: Closing Bug#3057: pcmcia-cs kernel-source dependency

--------

I'm closing this bug. The package depends specifically on
1.3.97.  It won't work with kernel 1.3.100.  I've mentioned
this elsewhere on the lists and think that this dependency
is an issue. However, I find the package -0 syntactically,
if not philosophically, correct.

However, any future version I release, I will likely use a
uname pre-inst instead/as well as Ian suggested. It will
allow for former "bleeding edgers" whose kernel may be
appropriate for my pcmcia-cs - but who wouldn't list the
dependency.

Original message follows:
=========================

Package: pcmcia-cs

I think the control file should specify

Depends: kernel-source (>=1.3.97)

Hopefully the virtual-dependency scheme will work correctly for that.
I tried to install it with the 1.3.100 kernel and it failed.

	Thanks

	Bruce
