Bug#3027: updatedb can't run properly
Package: base
Version: 1.1.0-7
Hi Everyone.
In the /etc/passwd nobody has a shell of /dev/null. However, updatedb will
not run as nobody because it tells me this message when I do it manually
(hence the find crontab in cron.daily won't work):
[root@kaos:1:~] su nobody -c "cd / && updatedb"
su: cannot run /dev/null: Permission denied
[root@kaos:1:~]
When I change the shell to /bin/sh or /bin/false (the latter probobly being
the better one) it works fine. For your information, this is a brand new
installation as of two days ago.
