Hi,

	Actually, (IMHO) the installkernel script probably does not do
 as good a job of installing the kernel, it is not idempotent, and it
 does not take as many precautions against possible failures (and does
 less for error recovery), it does not provide a link to older images
 installed.

	You are closer about mkboot, though, (even though I'd like
 better failure handling and rollback), and it doesn't seem to honor
 stuff in the current lilo.conf (just looks at the root=/boot= stuff).
 I like the idea of a bootable floppy. I'll see what I can do about
 either using mkboot or a version therof for the image postinst.
