Hi Warwick,

Thanks for reporting this.  Could you send more information please?  I
can't reproduce this on my system.

Try running:
strace fsck
and send me the output.

If you know how to use gdb, and could send me any information from
running this on the core file it could also be useful.  If the core file
is small you could attach it to a message and send me that, but
PLEASE DON'T Cc the entire core to debian-bugs(-quiet).

Could you also please send an exact copy of your /etc/fstab?

I'm afraid I don't have much experience with debugging this sort of
thing - all I know is that since I can't reproduce this problem I need
more info.

Please preserve the Cc to "debian-bugs-quiet".

PS.  Does fsck dump core on bootup too?
PPS.  Does it print the title string: "Parallelizing fsck...etc"?
