Well, actually I think it is /home/ftp/debian/private/project/Incoming 
(Things have been changing over the last few logins. Ie. development 
changed to unstable) I logged in using my dwarf account. I did this using 
mc and plain ftp. MC told me it couldn't close the files (nice error 
message), while ftp reported the directory was read-only. When I logged 
in as upload, everything worked as expected.
