Re: packages don't fully report dependencies

Here are some more random notes from upgraded a system yesterday:

- dpkg needs --force-overwrite a bit as we haven't sorted out double manpages
  and the likes between packages

- on an Elf only system, /bin/perl breaks some {post, pre}{rm,inst} scripts as
it is still aout. A symlink to /usr/bin/perl fixes this, perl or base
should be fixed to provide this

- the broken modules package was a major pain (thanks for the fix, Bruce!)
If we want to go really far, our automatic upload & master install &
notify scheme might want to extract binaries from packages to perform a
  'file' on them

The 1.1alpha boot/base disks are really nice --- but I had to make a custom
boot disk to have a ne2000 clone recognised at io=0x300,irq=10. The new
modules part will hopfully overcome this.
