Bug#2487: Screen makes emacs scrolling flicker horribly

When using emacs under this version of screen (from the development
tree), the display flickers intolerably when scrolling. This is
especially noticeable when one has more than one emacs buffer visible
at once.

The problem does not occur with the version of screen (3.6.2-2) from
the stable tree.
