Bug#2456: pine and imap support
Package: pine
Version: 3.91-5
The Pine postinst asks me whether I want an imap daemon running.
Instead it should probably just enable the daemon; if it might cause
problems for most people so that they probably don't want it (which
seems unlikely to me) then it should simply not update the inetd.conf.
Many if not most users who wish to install Pine will become confused
when asked whether they want to `activate imap operation'.
I answered `yes', and it claimed `Entry added to inetd.conf', but what
it had actually done was leave my existing entry
imap2 stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/local/sbin/imapd
alone (this is correct, IMO, but the message isn't).
Ian.
