Re: /bin/perl

The deal is that the base _floppies_, not the base package, provide perl,
but it is provided from the perl package. Now, perl can install it in
/bin or /usr/bin depending what we decide.

Almost everything in base.tgz (the CD version) and the floppies is straight
out of a normal "dpkg" install now. The two exceptions are "ftp" and "perl".
Perhaps the "ftp" client belongs in "netbase" instead of "netstd".
I'd even suggest that the "telnet" client belongs there as well - there's
little point in netbase without _any_ clients. In the case of "perl", it
could probably use a minimal run-time package. Once that's done the base
floppies would be "clean" - all straight out of normal "dpkg" installs.
