Has anybody else encountered this problem?  I've checked the
'postinst' and it does try to move the binary to the new location if
it exists in the old.

If no one else has had any problems, I'll close this bug report
shortly.  It does work in at least some instances, and is only an
issue during upgrade from release 1.
