Bug#2345: Inclusion of shadow breaks up some packages in the current (0.93R6) packaging system

It's entirely up to you, the sysadmin, to add whatever you like onto your
Debian system.
But if you do, please do so on the /usr/local filesystem and make sure
/usr/local/{sbin,bin} come before the others bin dirs in the PATH. You can
then keep the Debian executables.
This is not a bug, IMHO, as the Debian system behaves as specified --- ie
without shadow passwords.
