I won't be building an ELF dpkg now because my ELF compiler setup is broken. Could someone else do this please ? I'd appreciate it if anyone building an ELF dpkg would put libc5 in the dependencies in the control file and call the package version 1.0.10elf (for example). I have a very odd mixture of the old a.out compilers and the new ELF runtime libc, and it's causing the ELF bintuils 2.5.2l.20-1's ld to get a SIGSEGV. This is in a separate bug report. Ian.
