Extended descriptions: current status
Here's the current status of the extended descriptions for all the
packages in the main part of the Project.
Please see debian/project/standards/descriptions.txt for hints on how
to write the Description fields for your packages.
There are a total of 255 packages, 55% of which have extended
descriptions without any of the probable faults detected by my script.
If you spot any badly formatted extended descriptions that haven't
been caught by my script please let me know and I'll try to enhance
it.
Typos, descriptions that contain information not useful at
package-selection time or which isn't relevant to the Debian package
and other mistakes are obviously not detected by my script.
It would be useful if someone with a fair amount of time on their
hands were to go through all the packages with descriptions and check
them for usefulness, spelling, &c.
