Re: [miguel@nuclecu.unam.mx: New Linux/SPARC snapshot] (fwd)
Bruce: Can we get a list called debian-sparc for the active work on the
sparc port?
Ian M.: Can we start setting up a tree? Make sure it says under
contruction or somesuch
David Miller: Do you want to be added to this list I assume it will be a
moderate traffic list...
I will try to get a machine put together to start development work on.
This machine will be available to anyone interested in the port to get
access to so that we can work on full port of the tree.
You know this is where pristine(SP?) sources would be nice that way we
can apply debian-platform-specific patches to0 the source tree that way
we only hve to have a so-called-distfiles-directory that is NON platform
specific. This will make porting MUCH easier...

Is there anyone interested in a Debian GNU/Linux Sparc version?
If so I will be asking the debian-devel group to create a new mailing
list for this. I also have the space on ftp.debian.org to start another
ported tree.
This is very desirable, yes do it. Please keep us informed on your
progress.
Later,
