I don't see the conflict between a program name in /usr/local/bin and
a directory name in /usr/bin. I'll happily change my local program
name to something else, but I don't understand the concern.
Actually, I think the script, or something with this functionality,
would be useful to include in the aout-<whatever> tools packages.
