Debian and dpkg
Well, since Ian latest news has rocked us all. I'm making it know
that I've been working on a re-write of dpkg. Also, the packaging
guidelines and such I'd like to have control over. Why? The
current packages I have seen don't support of few features too well.
Such as:
package updating.
distribution evolution [new packages, new categories, etc].
There is little to no initialization or customization features
for packages or dpkg itself.
Backup package
These are just a few that come to mind right now. Any comments or
objections? [Plus, a copy of the packaging guidelines would be
nice too :)]
