* Only use fast locking primitives when compiling for a recent enough
mips cpu. The fix mucks with automake stuff, so add the assorted
pile of build dependencies, and call autogen.sh before configuring.
* Fix autogen.sh to call automake before autoconf. (What the...?)
* Add --force option to automake call for the benefit of automake 1.5.
* Add DEB_{BUILD,HOST}_GNU_TYPE to debian/rules to ease cross compiling.
