updated upstream as well (closes: #98204).
* Applied fix for non-PIC code in libraries (closes: #108806)
Kudos to LaMont Jones for the patch.
* debian/copyright: Removed the "Library" before "General Public License"
which crept in somehow (closes: #106145). Thanks to
Rafael Labossiere for pointing this out.
* src/Makefile: Make sure the .lo files are removed during the clean
phase as well.
