So do I, but because these are games and games sometimes contain huge non-code assets, I would say: we prefer full source in git unless that would make the git repo excessively large. Doing a code/data split is often helpful for larger games.
(For example openarena, nexuiz and darkplaces have full source in git, but nezuiz-data and the openarena-data family of packages are
