Description : Native engine for the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 video game
Jazz² Resurrection is a native engine for the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 video
game [1], developped by Epic MegaGames and released initially in 1998.
Since it relies on non-free (and non-redistributable) game data, this
package would go into the contrib section of the Debian repositories.

Jazz² Resurrection is already used by ./play.it [2] when generating
native .deb packages for Jazz Jackrabbit 2. If it were packaged into
Debian, support for this game could be added to game-data-packager [3]
too.

While I don’t have a direct contact with the upstream yet, I plan to
share with them my intents in packaging their game engine as soon as I
have posted this RFP.
This is only an RFP for now as I might not have time to work on it
before a couple months from now. After that I plan to turn it into an
ITP.
The maintenance would most probably be done as part of the Games Team.
