Orphaning gnubg (GNU Backgammon)
Hi folks,
(Please cc me if you want me to see replies, since I'm not subscribed.)
This is just an FYI that I've orphaned gnubg (GNU Backgammon), in case it
may be of interest to you to adopt. https://bugs.debian.org/1081174 is
the wnpp bug. As noted there, the packaging is on Salsa in the debian
namespace and the package should be in reasonably good shape. I just
updated it to the latest upstream version in the upload in which I
orphaned it, and I'll keep an eye on that upload to make sure nothing
unexpected goes wrong.
This is a GTK+ 3 application, and upstream is fairly short on resources
for porting, so knowledge of the GTK+ ecosystem is helpful for maintaining
it. (This is one of the main reasons why I'm orphaning it, although
mostly it's that I don't use the program much any more.) Upstream is
responsive and reasonably active.
I also sent a note to the upstream list and suggested that you may be a
resource for anyone interested in picking up the package.
