I pushed a working package on alioth [1]. We should still work on the
build to pass Debian CXXFLAGS and LDFLAGS. For the first it is quite
easy, but the new build system doesn't seem to allow to change
LDFLAGS, which is quite a shame.

And I don't know if we should provide the data as a zipball or we
should unzip it at build time to keep the old package tree.

Maybe a refresh of the debian/copyright would be good too.
