(Re)Introduction

Hello Debian Games Team!

I've been quiet on here for a while (years) so I think I owe people a reintroduction. I'm a big fan of what the people on this team contribute to Debian and I've been watching from the sidelines for quite a bit now. I meant to start helping out more when I had "more time" but that hasn't quite happened. So I got impatient ;) and decided to just start trying to help out as much as I could... although that may not be very much right now.

About me: I've been administering from one to a dozen GNU/Linux systems since Slackware back in late 1994. I switched over to Debian sometime in 95 and transitioned mostly to Ubuntu (and then to Xubuntu on the desktop) a few years ago. However, Debian still has a special place in my heart... and I know where most of the packages in Ubuntu come from. ;) My programing skills are not that great but I know my way around the system and have some experience with packaging. I also have a good bit of experience with the technical side of Website design (HTML/CSS/PHP/SQL/JavaScript).

I'm going to start out by working with Stephen Webb on the WorldForge [1] packages, a project I've been a big fan of for many years. Depending on how other things in my life work out, I'd like to eventually help with other things as well.

I'm set up on mentors and alioth and I'm fairly familiar with the material on our wiki and the Debian New Maintainers' Guide. If anyone has any additional advice or recommended reading I'd be happy to hear about it!

Thanks and looking forward to helping all of you make a better game environment for Debian!

-Olek
