There is no reason that we (ClanLib developers) know why the Examples use Makefile.in instead of Makefile.am

Yes, that would be a great help. We could also apply them to ClanLib 2.0, for the next release.

Either email myself the patch, provide a link to the patch or post it to clanlib's forum
